How It All Works
1: Letâs Talk
First up, weâll chat. Where are you rocking this suit? Boardrooms? Rooftops? Weddings where you are definitely going to give the groom a run for his money? Weâll get into your style, your vibe, and how your clothes need to work for your life.
And picking your fabric? Thatâs the fun part. Take your time, ask your questions, touch all the swatches you want. We specialize in sharp British and Italian cloth from the worldâs most exclusive mills. (Yes, the ones other brands name-drop.)
2: Made Just for You
Once youâve picked your fabric and details, we take over. Measuring everything, your posture, proportions, even that one shoulder that sits a touch higher than the other (donât worry, we all have it on file).
Then we hand-draft a pattern just for you, which weâll tweak and refine over a few fittings. The first suit takes a bit longer (quality isnât rushed), but once itâs done, we keep your pattern on file for all time.
3: Cut It Out
Your fabric is laid out, chalked up, and cut by hand. No shortcuts, no machines doing the heavy lifting. Every pieceâcanvas, lining, buttons, etc.âgets bundled together, ready for the first stitch. Winding its way through the sartoria stitched piece by piece ready for your first fitting.
4: Baste Fitting
Now the fun begins. Youâll try on the rough version of your suit (no, itâs not âInsta-readyâ yet). This stage is all about the fit. We will analyze every inch, scribble chalk notes, and explain whatâs happening so youâre not left nodding along pretending you know what a âdartâ is.
Weâll take it apart again and tweak it. Yes, itâs a process. No, youâre not being difficultâthis is how our custom process works.
5: Forward Fitting: Almost There
Next, our sartoria team steps back in. These arenât just âmakers.â Theyâre coat-making, trouser-shaping, waistcoat-whispering artists. Each one trains for years to master their craft. Every stitch, every seam, every single detailâdone with passion.
This is your second try-on, and now itâs looking like the real deal. Weâll fine-tune the fit, add those finishing touches like handmade buttonholes, and check that youâre ready to rule the world in it.
6: The Big Reveal
Your suit is done. Final inspection, final pressing, and ready for pickup or delivery (because sometimes youâre too busy to swing by).
And hereâs the kicker: weâve got your pattern on lock. That means every future suit is faster, smoother, and tailored to perfection.
